Profile Sandy Point Beach Cottages

 Sandy Point Beach Cottages was opened in 1960 by my Mother who built the Cottages from a David Philip design.
Our family go back to 1870 when Henry Lamb Kennedy arrived in Fiji.
My Mother came down from Nadi to live and build Sandy Point in 1958.
Every brick was made on site and took nearly 3 years to finish the project.
I was to become Manager of a Resort Hotel nearby after many years in the aviation industry .
I lived at Sandy Point from 1977 and on my mother's retirement looked after it as well.
After a few more stints in aviation as a consultant I was to finally assume full time attention to Sandy Point in 1990.Coral and I have been busy to ensure our guests enjoy their stay and have peace and quite while here.
The Cottages are serviced each day, bar Sunday to ensure every body is comfortable.
Our location on the Coral Coast at Korotogo is special and we are in walking distance of at least 3 Restaurants. So we encourage people to try other places to eat when they don't want to cook.
Next year our family will see 50 + Years Birthday for Sandy Point in this wonderful business of hospitality. Originally built around the New Zealand tourist in the 60's who wanted self Contained accommodation we now welcome people from the world over. Not only Kiwi's and Aussie's but Europeans from the Baltic, Brits, Canadians, Americans and even some from Argentina.
We are very proud of our little piece of heaven and with attention to detail we try to make Sandy Point "Home away from Home".
